Milk & Cookie Bar with Charlie's Cookies

We were recently invited by Charlie’s Cookies to style a Milk & Cookie Bar. And oh my goodness, did we have FUN working on this party food special!

Not only did we get to enjoy some of the most delicious cookies we have ever tasted – Choc Salted Caramel Melting Moments, where have you been all my life?! – we also got to work with two fabulous Australian brands – Charlie’s Cookies and one of my favourite party peeps, Astrid from Paper Playground who created the custom Milk & Cookie party paperie.

I wanted to create a chic, retro Milk & Cookie Bar that had a pink diner vibe (think Sketch in London, but in a milk and cookie bar form), that was soft, warm and comforting, just like the classic milk & cookie combo, with retro pink striped straws and soda glasses, milk bottles, rose and soft pink tones, and a splash of raspberry and purple to give that pop of colour.

Astrid created the most gorgeous set of custom paperie, including the pretty Milk & Cookie Bar backdrop, party favour boxes, ‘Drink Me’ flags for the straws, toppers and dessert cards.

The Milk & Cookie Bar Menu:

Smartie Cookie Sandwiches filled with chocolate mousse. I piped the mousse between two cookies and then kept these in the fridge overnight to slightly soften the cookies;
Raspberry White Choc Cookie Pops. These were the Charlie’s Cookies Raspberry White Choc Melting Moments which were stuck onto popsicle sticks and displayed in my Sweet Sticks stands;
Choc Salted Caramel Cookies, which made perfect toppers for the chocolate milk bottles;
Choc Salted Caramel Melting Moments (my absolute favs!);
Choc Chip Cookie Cheesecake Cups. These had a crushed choc chip cookie base, a no-bake vanilla cheesecake filling and then were topped with Choc Chip Cookie Bites and a drizzle of chocolate sauce; and
Strawberry + Chocolate Milk.

All the cookies on my milk & cookie bar were from Charlie’s Cookies. The milk bottles, glasses, cake plates and straws were from Ruby Rabbit , Kmart Australia and The Little Big Company .

Party guests each took home a sweet milk carton style box made by Paper Playground, which they filled with their selections of Charlie’s Cookies from the cookie bar - too many treats to choose!

I absolutely loved creating this dessert table and I hope it inspires you to create your own Milk & Cookie Bar for your next party.
