Back-to-school tea party at Florrie Armadale

On the weekend my little lady enjoyed a very special back-to-school/ kinder themed tea party at the gorgeous Florrie boutique in Melbourne.

Florrie is a haven for little (and big) girls located right in the heart of High Street, Armadale.

After opening its doors 13 months ago, the Florrie brand has won the hearts of many with its beautiful Australian designed dolls, clothes and accessories.

With Ava's cousins about to go back-to-school and Ava and her kindy friends about to start their final year of kinder, I thought it was a perfect chance to organize a special afternoon tea at Florrie.

Thank you to Jacqueline Beck for capturing these beautiful photos at the tea party.

The minute we stepped into Florrie we were warmly greeted by the store's fabulous manager, Kerry, who gave us a tour of the boutique and told us that the brand's logo is an acorn because 'from little things big things grow'.

As Ava's kindy friends and cousins arrived for the tea party they were met by the gorgeous party host, Anna, who took us through to Florrie's stunning party room.

The girls excitedly sat up for their tea party and then one-by-one got to pick a Florrie Doll to enjoy afternoon tea with. Each place at the party table has a Dolls high chair attached to it.

Once the girls were settled the mums and I went out and enjoyed a pot of tea and macaron in the Florrie cafe, divine!

When I poked my head back into the party room I found the girls happily decorating a ceramic love heart.

The girls were then treated to the most divine tiered stands of tea party treats which included finger sandwiches, mini cupcakes, macarons, meringues and scones with jam and cream. They were also offered a choice of hot chocolate, apple juice or water, with hot chocolates the most popular choice, despite it being a warm summer's day!

Following their tea party treats they enjoyed a game of pass the parcel (to Taylor Swift's Shake It Off, of course!). As the tea party came to an end the girls were each given a Florrie balloon and gift bag with lollipop, stickers and other treats.

It was an absolutely magical afternoon for the girls and I highly recommend Florrie as a birthday party venue for girls aged 5 and older. The Florrie birthday party packages include invitations, gift for the birthday girl, afternoon tea, craft activity, Florrie balloons and a take home treat.
