Beauty and the Beast family fun at Sofitel Sydney

We spent the weekend in Sydney at the beautiful Sofitel Sydney Wentworth enjoying their special family fun package which was launched to celebrate the release of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.

What a magical weekend! As soon as we walked into the hotel lobby we were met with the most inviting Beauty and the Beast display. Set up under the stunning chandeliers was a decadent tea party display full of roses, teapots and antique books which the kids loved exploring.

As we checked in at reception our little lady Ava was presented with a gorgeous red rose, both Ava and Alexander were offered a meringue and Pete and I were offered a glass of sparkling wine. Such a gorgeous touch. (Meringues and sparkling wine are offered at check in on Friday and Saturday.)

We headed towards the lifts and the kids spotted Belle's gown. Disney brought-to-life Megan Hess’s stunning sketch of the Belle inspired dress and the Couture gown is now on display in the Sofitel Sydney lobby. It is worth a trip to the hotel just to see this beautiful gown and display!

The little ones then spotted the sign for ‘Belle’s Reading Corner’ and we wandered into the library to find an enchanting corner full of books and dress-ups.

We headed up the lift to the tenth floor and arrived at our Junior Suite.

Delicious rose cupcakes, Disney activity packs and two storytime books were set up in the room for the kids. There was also a Rose Bluetooth speaker which the kids loved turning on and off as it played Beauty and the Beast instrumental music.

The junior suite was perfect for our family of four – the kids had lots of space to play and enjoy their craft activities.

We enjoyed a delicious breakfast each morning in the Garden Court restaurant which is on Level 5 of the hotel. Such a beautiful sun-lit spot to start the day.

On the Saturday morning we were booked in for the Beauty and the Beast High Tea in Soirée which is in the lobby of the hotel.

It ist an absolutely gorgeous High Tea! The tables are beautifully decorated and the kids get their own treat plates with rose cupcake, passion cheesecake, macarons, scones and sandwiches. (Plus activity packs and colouring books!)

Soirée is hosting Beauty and the Beast themed High Teas until 30 June, a perfect weekend treat or activity for the school holidays.

After 48 blissful hours it was time to say au revoir to the hotel. It truly was a magical weekend, one the kids are never going to forget and we can not wait to return to Sofitel Sydney again soon.
