A magical family weekend at Mansion Hotel & Spa

We spent the Easter long weekend at the beautiful Mansion Hotel & Spa at Werribee Park.

I was invited by The Lancemore Group to style their Mad Hatter's Tea Party on Easter Sunday and it was an absolutely delightful event to be involved with.

My family has stayed at Mansion Hotel & Spa a couple of times previously and we have always loved the hotel and our time at Werribee Park.

We checked into the hotel on Easter Saturday and spent the afternoon swimming in the pool and exploring the gorgeous grounds. We enjoyed an early dinner in the Bar and then it was time for our two (SUPER excited) little bunnies to go to bed.

Thankfully the Easter Bunny found us at the hotel. Ava had written at least five letters to the Bunny to ensure he knew we would not be at home for Easter.... and thankfully he got the message as the kids woke on Sunday morning to a room filled with Chocolate eggs and an adorable Bunny balloon from Amscan. Alex was particularly taken with the balloon, he didn't want to part with it all day!

The kids loved waking up at Mansion Hotel & Spa on Easter Sunday and hunted for eggs in our Suite before we went down for Breakfast in Joseph's restaurant.

Straight after breakfast we strolled down to the pond to feed the ducks and it was then time to start setting up the tea party.

I absolutely adore a tea party and it was so wonderful to work with the fabulous team at Mansion Hotel & Spa on this beautiful event. The hotel's Pastry Chefs created the most divine range of pastel sweet treats which looked sensational on our Mad Hatter dessert buffet.

Guests enjoyed free-flowing Mumm Champagne, there were mocktails for our mini guests, delicious tiers of savoury food served to the table and a beautiful assortment of teas. The little ones had an 'Easter Bonnet' craft table to enjoy, lawn games and an easter egg hunt on the lawn.

The hotel staff could not have been more attentive or accomodating to guests at the tea party. It was an absolutely magical way to spend Easter Sunday and I am so thrilled to have been a part of this special event.

All the desserts were made by the hotel's Pastry Chefs and included the fluffiest scones and hot cross buns, the most gorgeous mini cupcakes, macarons, tarts, chocolate-coated strawberries, mini cakes, as well as an assortment of larger cakes.

Our two little ones had a ball playing games on the lawn at the tea party.

The gorgeous floral arrangements were from Lucy Loves Charlie in Hawthorn and I set these up in some of the hotel's tea pots and tea cups. The straw tags were from Astrid at Paper Playground and the 'Truly Alice' range of partyware, straws and bunny picks were from Ruby Rabbit.

On Easter Monday we enjoyed another beautiful buffet breakfast at Joseph's Restaurant and the kids had a final swim in the pool. We checked out of the hotel and then strolled next door to Shadowfax Winery for a delicious pizza lunch followed by a trip to Werribee Open Range Zoo.

The Safari was a perfect way to end the most magical weekend at Werribee Park and is a must-do activity for anyone spending the weekend at Mansion Hotel & Spa.

We left for home with some wonderful memories, a car full of Easter eggs and two very happy children. Thank you Mansion Hotel & Spa for having us, we will be back again soon!! xx
