Family Fun at Crown Metropol Melbourne

What a way to start a weekend! We have just returned home from a mini-break at Crown Metropol Melbourne, enjoying their fabulous Family Fun Package.

With Melbourne's winter chill well and truly setting in, I thought a hotel mini-break was in order for my fam!

As we waited to check in yesterday afternoon, the little ones were offered a Chupa Chup lollipop (their absolute favs!) and an adorable Family Holiday Activity Pack + pencils.

Arriving at our room - a gorgeous Luxe Twin Room on the 26th Floor complete with two queen-sized beds - the kids were soon ready for a swim!

I had heard great things about the famous Metropol infinity pool, but it was even more impressive than I imagined, with wrap-around views of the Yarra and Melbourne's city skyline, complemented by the cutest aqua and green lounges and day beds.

The kids spent two very happy hours in the pool before it was time to return to our room to get ready for an early dinner.

For dinner, we were keen to show the kids Crown's famous Gas Brigade fireball show so we chose upstairs at The Merrywell , which enjoys a prime river-front view and is just a short walk from Metropol. The magical light show had the kids enthralled!

The Merrywell has a fantastic kids menu. Our little-ones both opted for the chicken tenders and chips, and were thrilled when the waiter told them they could order a milkshake off the downstairs menu! You should have seen the looks on their faces as their milkshakes arrived at the table!

The next morning we decided to order in-room breakfast. The Mr Hive in-room dining menu was perfect for our fam and the kids polished off their breakfasts before pleading for a final swim in the pool!

After another couple of hours of fun at the pool, it was time to check-out of our room.

Our final stop was to the movies, as we had received a family movie pass at check-in as part of the Family Fun Package. It was the perfect way to finish our mini-break at Crown and we couldn't have enjoyed our stay more!
