Family fun at InterContinental Sanctuary Cove
Last week we spent a gorgeous couple of days at InterContinental Sanctuary Cove.
We spent a week at this beautiful resort last year and the kids just adored it, so we were very excited to return for a long weekend with our extended family.
InterContinental Sanctuary Cove is a quintessential family-friendly resort, there are kangaroos roaming the property, an enormous lagoon pool complete with swings on the sand and even a Family Fun Zone with giant chessboard.
This year, my Mum, Aunty and I thought we would try the hotel's High Coffee which is served every Saturday and Sunday afternoon in the Fireplace Restaurant. We took the little ones along and they had a ball!
High Coffee at InterContinental Sanctuary Cove is a celebration of all things coffee with a range of coffees and Espresso martinis on the menu, as well as coffee themed sweets.
On arrival our fabulous waiter presented us with a delicious range of sandwiches, (Beetroot cured salmon, Smoked beef strip loin and Applewood smoked chicken) and a mini beef pie with caramelised onion and pea mash.
We then enjoyed a sorbet as a palate cleanser, followed by tiered stands of sweets and scones (smoked pumpkin and the hotel's classic scone served with coffee scented Chantilly cream and berry jam.)
The pastries and cakes were just divine and included a magnificent ‘music note’ coffee éclair and Espresso Lamington, as well as macarons with chocolate coffee curd and mini fruit tartlets.
Pictured above is the hotel's gluten free dessert plate.
Ava and Alex’s favourites were the scones and the Oreo Chocolate Bite…. delicious!!
It was a truly delightful experience and you can find all the key info about High Coffee at the InterContinental Sanctuary Cove here:
