SUGAR REPUBLIC!!!

Earlier this week we treated some sweet friends to a preview of SUGAR REPUBLIC, an incredible pop-up dessert museum and interactive exhibition that opened in Melbourne today!

This AMAZING attraction has been created by the fabulous Allison Jones (pictured above, left) and her husband Paul and is a true labour of love (and sweets), aptly situated at the old Robertson’s chocolate factory in Fitzroy. Allison was the mastermind behind Lark Store and Melt Bake + Party and has now taken her love of parties and sweets to the next level with the launch of SUGAR REPUBLIC.

Below is a peek into our exclusive preview event at SUGAR REPUBLIC and a look behind the candy doors of this SWEET exhibition!

We were like kids in the world’s biggest candy store as we explored the 14 amazing rooms at SUGAR REPUBLIC.

Our guests got to take a dip in the enormous ball pit ‘pool’ (featuring over 80k balls!), we made ourselves a soft serve sundae in the ice cream room, took a swing in the fairy floss room, jumped out of a birthday cake, climbed inside a giant gum ball machine, admired the doughnut igloo and incredible art installations, including the neon art wall and interactive sprinkles wall, and boy oh boy did we eat some treats!

We finished up in the White City Room for Crafters Union Wines, a Byron Bay Cookie Company Cookie Bar and Niknak's Sweetest Treats fudge + brownies.

Nikki from Niknak's Sweetest Treats sent her amazing M&M & Oreo fudges, watermelon lollipops, salted caramel stuffed Tim Tam truffles, pretty pink Oreo gems, mint marshmallows, peanut butter brownies and salted caramel rice krispy slice all the way from Perth and they were all SO delicious!!

Our guests also loved helping themselves to Rocky Road cookies and Triple Choc Fudge #glutenfree cookies at our Byron Bay Cookie Company Cookie bar.

Thank you also to Crafters Union Wines for the cute #winesinacan which were just perfect for sipping in between dips in the pool ball pit. We served cans of Rose, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Gris and they were just perfect for the occasion.

How cute are the 3D Candy Fillable letters above made by @meapsaustralia? These are filled with confetti from Lombard's.

As our 40 guests left they were each presented with an adorable Sun Jellies bag packed to the brim with some amazing items from SUGAR REPUBLIC event partners.

The gorgeous flatlay above was taken by Yvonne from Original's Lab and shows all the sweet items that were included in the gift bags!

These bags were literally the icing on the cake to the sweetest night ever! The gift bags included @originals_lab M&M earrings, @makemeiconic ice cream purse, @sweetiedarlingcandy lollipop, @meapsaustralia donut tag and @electric_confetti + @meapsaustralia lips brooch, @katepullendraws patch, @meltstore.au sprinkles, @groundedpleasures Drinking Chocolate plus @wizzfizzofficial! Talk about a sweet selection!

It could not have been a sweeter night out and I am so grateful to Allison + Kathee Gunn at 360 Focus PR for giving us the opportunity to host this preview event!
