Spring Racing - W.S. Cox Plate Carnival Wrap Up

It was an incredible weekend in Melbourne with the W.S. Cox Plate and 'Queen' Winx winning her fourth consecutive Cox Plate and securing her place in racing history.

Moonee Valley Racing Club hosted one hell of a party and any one of the nearly 40,000 people trackside to witness Winx win are never going to forget the moment she crossed the finish line. The roar as she came around the bend and down the straight towards the finish line was absolutely thundering!

We could not have enjoyed this year's Cox Plate Carnival more, which began with a fabulous media launch at Luminare in early October.

On Cox Plate day on Saturday we spent a gorgeous few hours in the Veuve Clicquot Chalet which was right behind the winning post. The Champagne was flowing and Epicure Catering dished up some gorgeous grazing items (there was even a taco bar!)

We then popped into the Carlton Draught Valley Precinct which had a fun festival vibe with some fab acts performing throughout the afternoon and into the evening.

As the clock struck 5pm we were seated in the Members to watch Winx and what a spine tingling experience it was.
