Family Fun in Sydney - #SofitelSydney Staycation and bebe Liam's 1st Birthday!

We had a gorgeous weekend in Sydney celebrating our gorgeous nephew Liam's 1st Birthday!

Our family stayed at Sofitel Sydney Wentworth, a stunning French hotel in the heart of Sydney city. This was our family's fourth stay at Sofitel Sydney Wentworth, we just adore this hotel; it is luxurious but also super family friendly and has the most delightful staff!

The Sofitel Sydney Wentworth lobby is always decked out with stunning blooms and this particular arrangement took my breath away!

We had adjoining rooms on the ninth floor - the chic hotel rooms have recently undergone a refurbishment and they are stunning. Our rooms overlooked the hotel's famous courtyard and the kids loved sitting at the window and playing 'I Spy'!

There was some gorgeous surprises waiting for us in our rooms, including the hotel's signature macarons and french pastries, plus mineral waters and a fruit plate.

The Sofitel Sydney Wentworth is currently hosting the Archibald High Tea so our first stop when we arrived at the hotel was, naturally, straight to Soirée Bar for afternoon tea!

Sofitel Sydney Wentworth is the exclusive partner of The Art Gallery of NSW so each High Tea ticket includes a ticket to the Archibald Exhibition.

The menu is divine with the most gorgeous art inspired pastries and treats (helllooo painted macarons!), along with the classic High Tea sandwiches and scones.

The menu includes Sesame & coconut macaron, Black religieuse, Panna cotta and black pearls, Fruit tartlet, Black & white cheesecake, Scones, cucumber sandwiches, Truffle & goat cheese, black bun, and Smoked salmon, avocado, créme fraîche, caviar, charcoal cone.

This chic monochrome High Tea is running at Sofitel Sydney Wentworth until late August and is not to be missed!.

Following afternoon tea it was time for a ferry ride to Double Bay. The Sofitel is only a five minute walk away from Circular Quay.

This was the view of the courtyard from our room when we returned to the hotel later that evening.

The hotel's turndown service had taken place while we were out and we returned to herbal teas on the bed, along with fresh water bottles.

The next morning we had the most delightful breakfast at Sofitel's Garden Court Restaurant, which overlooks the courtyard and is such a stunning light-filled space.. The kids were thrilled with the children's buffet and their Croissants and Chocolat Chaud!

After breakfast our little loves explored the courtyard and played hide and seek and tag in the garden for over an hour.

Sofitel Sydney Wentworth is the most gorgeous hotel for a family staycation and I highly recommend it for anyone planning a Sydney mini break! Thank you Sofitel for another gorgeous stay!

Liam's 1st Birthday Party!

After we checked out of the hotel it was time to head to Liam's 1st birthday party!

Liam's #OneIsFun themed party was SO much fun to plan with my sister! As soon as Anna told me the theme I knew we needed LOTS of balloons and bright pops of colour!

The party was hosted in the Canopy Room at a pub in Double Bay called The Sheaf which is my sister's local.

It was such a gorgeous afternoon with fab food and wine for for the big kids and lots of treats for the little ones!

The dessert table featured Sweetie Darling Candy star and pineapple lollipops, gorgeous custom cakepops and cookies from LaManna Patisserie in Melbourne (which mum kindly brought up to Sydney in her cabin bag, thanks Mum!) as well as a #DIY rainbow birthday cake - two store-bought rainbow cakes which Anna decorated with Smarties. The rainbow partyware from Sambellina fit the theme so beautifully. Thank you also to my brother-in-law Symon for these fab party pics below!

It was the most perfect day celebrating the most beautiful little boy! Happy Birthday Liam! xx
