A twist on an old favourite - Mars Bar Slice

Mars Bar slice is one of my all-time favourite party treats. It is so quick and easy to make and only requires a handful of ingredients.

Here are two twists on the traditional Mars Bar Slice; Mars Bar Slice Pops and a no-bake Mars Bar Cheesecake Slice. Enjoy xx

Mars Bar Slice Pops

Ingredients

3 Mars Bars

100 grams butter

3 cups Rice Bubbles

200g milk chocolate

Popsicle sticks

Method

1. Place the Mars Bars and butter into a microwave safe bowl and heat until melted.

2. Place Rice Bubbles in a large mixing bowl. Add the melted Mars Bars and butter and stir until well combined. Press the Rice Bubble mixture into a lined slice tin and place the tin in the freezer for 5-10 minutes.

3. Place the milk chocolate into a microwave-safe bowl and heat until melted and smooth. (I stir every 30 seconds to ensure it doesn’t burn.)

4. Remove the slice tin from the freezer. Cut the slice into pieces, drizzle with melted chocolate and place a popsicle stick into each piece. Return to the fridge until it is time to serve.

Mars Bar Cheesecake Slice

Ingredients

75g butter

3 Mars Bars

2 cups Rice Bubbles

250g block of cream cheese

¾ cup thickened cream

1/4 cup icing sugar

100g milk chocolate

Method

1. Place 2 Mars Bars and butter into a microwave safe bowl and heat until melted.

2. Place Rice Bubbles in a large mixing bowl. Add the melted Mars Bars and butter and stir until well combined. Press the Rice Bubble mixture into a lined slice tin and place the tin in the freezer while you prepare the cheesecake.

3. Place the cream cheese and icing sugar into the bowl of a food processor and process until well combined.

4. Add the cream and process until the mixture is soft and fluffy.

5. Remove the slice tin from the freezer and evenly spread the cheesecake mixture over the Rice Bubbles. Return the slice tin to the freezer.

6. Place the milk chocolate into a microwave-safe bowl and heat until melted and smooth. Chop the remaining Mars Bar into small pieces.

7. Remove the slice tin from the freezer. Cut the cheesecake slice into squares, top with some pieces of Mars Bar, drizzle with melted chocolate and place in the fridge until it is time to serve.
