Yoga in the Sky on the Melbourne Star

We started the weekend early last week with a beautiful Yoga in the Sky class on the Melbourne Star! It has been a busy start to the year with Ava starting school and Alex starting kinder, plus a jam packed schedule of client events and parties and it was so nice to take some time out and catch up with my cousin Kate.

I promised myself last year that I would do at least one yoga or body balance class a week and I have stuck to this resolution. And this Yoga in the Sky class is without doubt the most memorable class I have done, I could not have enjoyed it more. The 60-minute Vinyasa Yoga Flow class was run by Kasia (above) from Roar Spirit Yoga who is an incredible Yoga teacher and who reiterated the importance of focusing on our breathing and not getting caught up by in the day-to-day stressors in life that are beyond our control.

There were four of us in the cabin for the class which meant there wasn’t room for Kasia to have a mat, but this worked well as meant she roamed through the cabin helping us with our posture, breathing and positioning. Kate and I were also joined for the class by two gorgeous Melbourne girls Alice Evans and Carla Centrone.

Kate and I could not have enjoyed the session more, it was so nice to have some time out!

As the Yoga in the Sky Classes run for an hour, this means you get to enjoy two trips around the Star. As we approached the top of the Star, Kasia ensured we were facing the front each time to soak in the beautiful water views over Port Phillip Bay and the Melbourne cityscape.

We left the class feeling energized and relaxed and were then treated to a juice and protein ball from Boost which is part of the Yoga in the Sky package and is a perfect way to conclude the session. It really was such a magical experience and I highly recommend Yoga in the Sky on Melbourne Star for any busy mums needing some R&R, or for a unique girl’s day out activity! It would also be a gorgeous birthday or Christmas gift idea for a yoga-lover. You can find more info about Yoga in the Sky at Melbourne Star here:

Thank you Melbourne Star, Kasia and Roar Spirit Yoga for an unforgettable experience! I will definitely be booking another session soon! xx
